Mounting screws are not weather resistant

Works great, everything is high quality except for the mounting screws for the socket. They went from black to completely rusty the first time they got wet.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Negative impression

Electronic brake cable and connector.

Electronic brake cable and connector undersized (cables must be 12 gauge). I would replace the wire if the connectors are where the 1/4" spade connectors are, it's only 1/8" connectors.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Security

Well, except for the wire wrap.

I occasionally damage a connector on the road and thought it would be nice to just swap out the connector instead of rewiring each time. However, remember that when using heat shrink crimp connectors, the wire supplied with the kit has a low temperature jacket. It's very easy to burn through with a heat gun before your crimp connectors shrink and seal.

The only true. Well made and easy to install

My Class B vintage trailer light socket had a broken door spring cover. I've tried everything to fix this spring and it doesn't work. You can't have water and road grime in a trailer light socket, so I decided to replace my OEM Pollak socket with an upgraded USCAR style Pollak. I am very happy with it. Installation was easy and it is very well made and sturdy. Buy like this. I love Kurt's hitch and also bought a USCAR Kurt kit. Much more than $$. You know, that pollack was actually better made…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Great price, seems good quality.

My 91 F350 has had its factory trailer wiring cut out over the years. The forks have been discontinued and are very expensive. This kit gave me enough wire to cut out the faulty parts of the factory wiring harness and give me a standard connector so if I need to replace it I can have it replaced at just about any parts store or Walmart. Seems well made but time will tell. It's only plastic, but seems pretty durable. Buy some dielectric grease to coat your plug and jack to prevent corrosion…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

When installed in Advance Auto Glass in Hayes, .

This was installed at Advance Auto Glass in Hayes, Kansas for $50. It took this on my 02 F250 to tow a 26ft box trailer for 2000 miles. As far as I can tell he's done well for the last 6 months. You need to hold the back of the adapter and insert the trailer plug. This takes some effort, but gives you peace of mind that it won't rattle and that it will seal and protect from the elements. I saved a lot of money compared to going out and stealing and having them attack my arm and leg. For just…
