Only fits smaller canvases.

Inaccurate description. Says it hold a canvas up to 42 inches. This painting is 36x36 and as you can see does not come close to fitting. It will be lovely for smaller canvases. The wood has a nice smooth finish and seems sturdy *enough*.The largest canvas it will hold is 37 inches IF it is a thin frame ( 1/2 inch). Although if the canvas did fit flush it seems like there is a piece of wood that would misshape the canvas in the middle.Perfect for canvases sized no bigger than 27 ".I'm keeping it

Very nice easel: my feedback

This easel is very nice and sturdy. I love that you can tilt the canvas flat for watercolor or background paintings. I've always wanted a nice wooden easel and for the price I'm surprised at how good the quality is. I absolutely love it and recommend it. You won't be sorry.

No instructions on my review.

I like this easel. It seems to be really nice for the money. I bought it to display a painting. I'm not a painter so maybe its just my ignorance, but this thing came with NO instructions. I had the one peice upside down and couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong but I knew something wasn't right. I went to the company website and they have no instructions there either. By looking at the photos I was able to determine what I had done wrong. Maybe someone that uses these things all the time…

Flexibility and stability in one place!

This purchase has been great for me as I can adjust it to paint standing up or sitting down. I can vary the angle of the canvas with some easy adjustments. This has been exactly what I was hoping it would be for my painting. It provides a stable and adjustable easel. No more propping up the canvas up on the sink and wall to paint!

I love this easel. It is very sturdy and easy to use . One can assemble and disassemble it quickly and easily. Also can be stored anywhere because it is so compact once you’ve taken it down. Surprisingly good for its price.
