knotty and rough, many regrets

The wood is rough, I had to sand it down to keep my fur from fraying. There was no leakage even when looping with a crochet, I regret this purchase.

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • only available in black

Comfortable but breaks easily

The hook part is quite comfortable and strong. The operation is smooth. Doesn't stick, but the plastic tube is loose. It broke within a month. Now one of my most used hook sizes for large projects is useless.

Pros
  • Everything I like so far
Cons
  • There are doubts

Broke after 3 months

I've been using the 6mm hook for about 3 months and the tube broke right where it connects to the hook. I tried gluing it together but it didn't work. I bought a replacement from another brand that seems more durable but a lot less comfortable. I wish I could just buy the 6mm hook not the whole set!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors

As I am new to Tunisian crochet and haven't done my homework when choosing/purchasing my Tunisian Afghan crochet hooks I found the price important. When I got this set back in February I paid 9.99 for it. I finally got the opportunity/time to use them and I was seriously disappointed, no matter what stitch, how I healed the hook or what yardage I use, the yardage kept getting stuck on the hook. Sometimes the price counts, now it's too late to return them or even ask for a refund, but Hay trusts

Pros
  • Elegant design

Needs lots of TLC before using

I got this kit in the mail today and started using it. Disclaimer: I was not paid for this review and paid full price for this set. I just want to share my experience with others. I have been crocheting for over 40 years and I crochet knife holder style (as opposed to pen holder style). I have a little Tunisian experience and several sets of Tunisian hooks. I have more sets of hooks than any woman deserves, so I'm familiar with many types of form factors and materials. When you open the…
