I AM THE ARTIST! Nice colours, the chalk looked like it had been kicked in the box. The packaging sucks. like nobody cares about the product. Prang's quality control department needs new leadership. Every part of GOT DAMN was broken!

Terrible packaging! 75% of our chalk was broken. Luckily I had read other sawdust paper reviews so I knew I had to open the box from the outside. If you can handle all of that, chalk is soft and colorful. Perfect for our RAOK sidewalk bliss, we plan on giving it out to all the family in our community.

When I decided to create a chalk wall in my apartment; I have researched which chalk is best to use and which has the highest percentage of pure calcium carbonate. Aside from using gym chalk, this is as good as it gets. The colors are strong and beautiful. The chalk gently blends together and slides along the wall. I just use microfiber towels to rub down the wall and had no problem creating one mural at a time.

Bought a big box. The chalk itself is excellent. But the packaging is probably the worst I've ever seen. I opened the box with chalk and was immediately covered in what appeared to be sawdust. The floor is covered with sawdust. It is everywhere. I don't know how so many fit in one box. The chalk spilled everywhere just when you opened the lid. If you order, wear clothes you don't like and have a broom, vacuum, and alternative box ready.

Okay, here's the thing. I LOVE this chalk. This is the brightest I've found that still gets erased from the board. It's usually expensive. Package 144 is relatively cheap compared to the regular prices. I was expecting 12 out of 12 bowls but got a loose box with shredded packaging which is a real headache. Only 12 pieces were fully intact when received which was disappointing. But it's still the best chalk and it writes, broken or not.

I love the pigments in these crayons. They are rich and bright. They apply smoothly, after the top seal layer is pierced, just wipe it on the board or sandpaper a few times. Cut the straw lengthwise and wrap it around the chalk. No smelly $10 chalk holder required. The chalk stays in place and is ready to use. If you have thin straws, simply wrap the two segments of the straw around the chalk. If your chalk gets shorter, no problem, the straw doubles as an extension to make it longer. Hooray!

Love bright colours! A few pieces are broken but that doesn't affect use. So far we've only used them on art paper, but it works well with a finger if you want a "watercolor" look. I bought a small pack, but now I want to buy a big one. Will come when they run out! Edited to add: They work better when broken. After all, I intentionally broke them all. I've also used them on a whiteboard since posting this review and they work great (although not as noticeable as on paper). They wash well too…

I read most of the other reviews and decided to order anyway. I have had positive experiences with Prang products in the past.
