This is the worst tool I have ever bought. Firstly it is very small compared to other pipe cutters and when I first started using it the slots were misaligned and the pipes were being cut oddly. I just think it was a mistake that should never have left the manufacturer.

The handle could be a bit bigger for my large gloves - but otherwise very good workmanship. You can force the mount to stay in place without over-tightening the knurled set screw. The zero on the side scale (from 0 to 30mm) doesn't quite match the zero position when the jig is closed, so I wouldn't rely on the scale's absolute accuracy, but that's fine for repetitive cuts.

Like a jeweler who just holds his pipe with his left hand and cuts with his right. Don't buy this beforehand. When it comes to your tools, jewelers are on the hunt for the best of the best. There are some tools that require precision. This is not one of those cases. But this totally affordable tube holder will make your life that little bit easier.

Overall works well and is nicely made. However, a lever or rod bent over the workpiece may be slightly less secure, which is a minor design issue. If you are working with a very thin workpiece and do not have a high TPI blade, you will find it difficult to hold it by hand without the teeth catching in the kerf, leading to blade breakage and other problems.
