Great little gadget!

I love it! I've been trying to find something for my bedroom door so my son can't get in when I'm not home. This little gadget did it!

Perfect for my use case

Perfectly protected the latch on the inner door that drew too much attention from a mischievous child. The door is safe, at least until he improves his lockpicking game.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Everything ok

Covers door handle only

Covers door handle only. This is not enough to cover both the latch and the doorknob. There are those that are a little longer for a few bucks more and offer better value for money.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Retrofittable

Works very well. The best in the lock

Prevents credit card attacks on the door lock. Ideal for people with roommates or children or if you want more security. Easy installation, centering and installation. I used some tape to attach it to get the screws in the right places. but not that bad.

Pros
  • Durable design
Cons
  • Transparency

The mount is only 6 " but works

I didn't pay much attention to this when ordering - I think I was expecting it to offer a little wider coverage of the locking area but it works well . After drilling holes in a metal post, alignment may be correct, but first use the Phillips head screws to "cut" holes to prepare them for one-sided screws. Single ended screws are not good for cutting threads unless you have a very wide flat head. A flat head is the right size for the screw to slide off the head fairly easily if you need to…

Pros
  • Nice touch
Cons
  • Doesn't fit all

So glad to find this product!

I have a difficult child who tries all sorts of ways to get hold of objects that have been taken from them or are not meant for them. I put combination locks on the doors of two rooms and then noticed that he still found a way to get in. He chopped wood (see photo 1-3 before and after). I was desperate and certain I would need to replace the metal door but on the advice of another parent of a child with similar issues I looked around first and found this solution. I ordered two, they arrived…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Poor
