We bought this despite the bad reviews and we are pleased with the way it looks. Our 3.5 year old loves rotating pictures and redirecting them to where they are displayed. Image quality largely depends on the surface of your wall or ceiling. Popcorn, a textured wall or ceiling is not the best projection screen. A smooth wall will help the image look less washed out. Works as it should; Clarity as expected (not impressive). We had one that lasted a solid 6 almost 7 years. it was gone but it was familiar and we liked it.
