I rarely need a heat gun and if I did I would most likely pay for a higher quality, high-end device. But what is better quality? For my purposes, for a tool I use once or twice a year, this one works. I use it for "shrink wrap" in wiring and it helps. I haven't tried it on old paint or varnish. For the price, it works for us who don't use it "professionally" but as the occasional do-it-yourselfer.

I bought this hair dryer to try and fix my broken cell phone. The heat gun is very powerful, it can provide enough heat even at lower temperature to detach the stuck LCD screen from the phone case. The higher temperature setting is very hot and may be too hot for some uses, but it means this heat gun is capable of a variety of uses to look forward to in the future.

I wasn't expecting much because of the price, it was an impulse purchase. What really attracted me was the replacement tips. I do a lot of handwork and the standard round nozzle I had on my previous heat gun was often too stiff for my projects. This thing came with the wide flat head which I use all the time - it spreads the heat really evenly compared to the round ones. Last time I'm trying to save a few bucks. Yes, it blows hot air. No, it does not deliver a usable volume of said hot air. Acrylic paint hardly bursts bubbles. Got this to pick up some sticky tiles for tile work and it worked great. I'm sure there are bigger and more powerful ones out there, but I didn't want to invest that much money in a small space.
