I have two portable humidifiers and also very hard water. These filters really help produce quality fog. They're a little pricey for what they are, but they work well. I've had humidifiers for 5 years and never knew they fit a filter. It would be great if the manufacturer would equip the humidifier with the first filter.

What is in the picture is not what you get, I apply it and it is meant to eliminate the white dust that all those humidifiers produce when you pour water in them , I have since tested with and without this product and I have used soft water and purified water and no I have a Puregardian 8000 model and white dust. Does it matter if you use it or not?

I was very disappointed with this product. It seemed to help a bit, but we still had a lot of white dust everywhere, it just didn't seem to build up as quickly. In fact, we threw away dehumidifiers and plan to switch to a different type. It doesn't necessarily have to be the product's fault, and perhaps more a product of how mineralized our water is, but the effectiveness was so poor that I don't think they should be marketed as medicinals.

Save your money. Bought and installed last week with great expectations. Unfortunately, we have just as much calcification as before installing this filter. It does not affect white dust or the amount of scale in or around the humidifier. Of course we will not buy the product again in the future. I suggest using a liquid moisturizer instead of wasting money on this product.

It's ok, it takes care of the white dust that gets on literally everything in your house, but only for 2 weeks. The cost of this filter is somewhat prohibitive due to its service life. You literally spend 10-20.00 or more every two weeks to run this humidifier depending on where you buy the filters. You'd think they could come up with something. But right now I don't know what it will be.

Tired of constantly scratching with vinegar and water. I have used this along with Keeper Pure tablets to demineralize my water. This works great, but in prime time you have to change them every 1.5 months which doesn't make it cost effective in any way. It's a compromise between this filter and the pills not to scratch or spend $20 for 1.5 months. The high rating was because it actually did what it said it did, but the durability and cost model isn't sustainable for most people.

Our water is high in calcium so I bought this hoping it would remove it so our humidifier wouldn't leave as much white dust.
