I used this adapter on an EliteBook 840 G6 laptop. I connected it to the power adapter of an older EliteBook laptop. When fully connected, it charged for a few minutes and then stopped charging. It also slipped out of the laptop easily.

Not only fits well, but even better at both ends. It fits snugly into the Dell connector on the end of the Dell laptop adapter (same voltage for both) and fits snugly into the HP laptop end. Much better connection than the loose fit of the original.

I work in corporate IT and we have removed old HP laptops (models 84x0, 87x0) leaving us many PSUs with thicker, straighter tips stay. Newer models have a thinner 90 degree tip and these adapters allow us to use additional power supplies on newer laptops. We save money by replacing lost power supplies and saving a bunch of old ones from being lost. Win.

Works great. Let me use my old power supplies with my new computer. I'm a claims adjuster and I need multiple power adapters so I don't have to constantly carry one with me wherever I go, like in the car, in my home office and in my travel bag. I hated the thought of buying extra power supplies when I had three perfectly good ones that fit my old computer but not my new one. I was very happy to see how they would work, just what I needed.

Product is made to specification but the adapter to connect to my laptop depends on the port. The adapter I use on my charger at my home office connects well and firmly. The adapter I use at work gets lost and I have to giggle and twist it to connect and see charging. The one on my power cord in my bedroom is lost but always shows charging when plugged in. They all seem to be slightly different sizes. And this is on a laptop. That keeps me from giving 5 stars.

I had two old power packs with large barrel connectors. One was Dell and the other was HP. I have two laptops that I wanted to use these power supplies on - both HP. They required smaller cylindrical connectors. Both pigtails connected the power supplies well, and both matched power supplies worked with one of the computers while only one (HP) worked with the other. Swapped the loops, the result is the same.
