Contacted Pyle to replace a defective power supply under warranty and received no response. They are willing to sell me a new one but don't answer if it can be replaced under the manufacturer's warranty. Update - The power adapter is an "accessory" and is not covered by the warranty. They gave no advice on how the receiver could work without power. Now I have to ask for an additional warranty to see if it covers the faulty PSU. The product works when it has power.

This is a good little amplifier with 8 to 10 watts RMS power per channel. Everyone rates their amps PMPO. There is no direct or mathematical formula to calculate the RMS power of PMPO rated amplifiers, but if you look at the efficiency corrected power consumption it is probably very close. Bought this to replace my Lepai 2020 which was slowly dying after eight years of intensive use of the boombox I built for my shop. It's almost identical, so it's a great replacement. I use a 5A power supply, which makes a noticeable difference at high volume. If you're putting heavy loads on the amp, the included power supply probably won't be enough.
