A bunch of crap about automobiles and automobile electronics

Don't waste your money on this head unit. It's cheap and frankly it feels cheap. The device weighs less than an apple. For some reason, when it's on, it gets really hot, to the point where you can't touch the back. The sound quality is terrible (I even bought a pair of Lanzar marine speakers for it), almost inaudible. This is a POS and I would rather spend the money on a better device.

Excellent stereo system for the price

Excellent stereo system for the price. However, I've learned that without a distortion device connected to the power cord, it picks up engine noise, so without it it can't be used while the engine is running. This appears to be normal with all car and marine stereos. It was the first stereo I've ever installed that I wasn't aware of. A friend of mine who has installed many stereo systems told me that when he heard this. He knew exactly what the problem was.

He turns on, he makes music. What else did you expect?

Installed on a boat to replace a defective head unit. It works. Installation was easy, lots of wires to splice for the harness like boats always do, but they used standard colors so it was easy, just time consuming. Curious how long that will take. My boat has a fender that goes through the radar to keep moisture to a minimum. I almost want to buy a spare part. If it lasts 2 years I could easily replace it without changing the wiring harness. Inexpensive receiver with many good features.

Pyle Marine receiver. This inexpensive receiver has many good features. Here are some comments. Bluetooth connects very well and automatically plays your latest streaming station. Pausing, playing and skipping songs also works over the receiver's Bluetooth. The digital tuner does a good job of picking up a few distant stations and playing them back without interference.
