Enhance Your Toyota's Safety with Pyle PLCMTOYOTA Infrared Rear View Backup Camera Review

This is not what I expected and after some modifications to the unit to fit my liftgate body it worked after 2 hours no more. At first the device worked normally, but after 2 hours it started to turn off. I tested it with my old license plate camera and it works great, I took it off and put it back on and it does the same thing. Waste of money and not recommended, rather spend a little more money and buy a branded item.

So far this is a great camera. Installed very well in a 2006 Nissan Quest. The picture is upside down and offers a really nice foresight. The image is in color and in high quality. There are red, yellow and green guide lines overlaying the video. I opened the back and saw a bunch of silicone there after reading the reviews. Why it's "Toyota Vehicle Specific" I have no idea, although I installed it on a 2008 Toyota 4Runner about two years ago. It has worked flawlessly for the last two years and I have no reason to think it will fail any time soon. I live in the Pacific Northwest and with the extreme temperatures we face, not to mention the constant rain, this thing has seen it all and then some.
