I mounted this on a scooter not a bike so I had to put an extra thin layer of rubber around the handlebars to install it. I have accidentally dropped my scooter with the attached and have survived every fall so far. It even had my phone on it at one point and the fall was hard enough to shatter a cheap phone screen protector, but this case held up well.

This thing is great! I use it on my Cannondale CX1 which can do city and highway driving. This phone holder works great for $. It keeps my Pixel 2 safe while I drive. Sometimes, after 10-15 km, the vibration begins to loosen the nut on the hinge and begins to sag. I can tighten it while riding so it doesn't really matter. Even at 15 mph on coarse gravel, this thing grips my phone.

This phone bike mount is great for using your phone on the side of the screen. If you are into an exercise app or a mapping app then it fits and does well. The only downside is that I can't record videos with my camera or take photos with my phone while it's in the holder; The back covers the lens. If you want to use your phone without having to use the rear camera (not for selfies) then this is a great product.

I first bought this a long time ago and I love how well it stays on my phone. When my wife's phone holder broke, I bought another one. I gave it four stars because it takes time to put the phone in every time. I have to unscrew the screw on the back to open it, insert the phone and then screw it back on. It takes a little while. I've seen another one that uses an elastic band to hold the phone in place and literally takes seconds to put on. So I would say it's a bit awkward to use.

I was initially pleased with this, but was ultimately put off by two things. First, the mechanism for holding the phone is awkward. It takes a little twist and turn to add removing and tightening. This causes twisting, rotating and moving of the fastener. The bracket comes with a multi-layer gasket to accommodate different sizes of mounting plates. I bought this to use in the middle of my bike. Although the mount part is a bit deep/big, it works well! The mount is adjustable so I can tilt it to my liking (up or down, side to side). The part of the frame that holds the phone is easily adjustable with a rotary knob on the back to open and close the four corners.
