PC compatible, requires NO PCIe fanout

Advantages โ€ข PC compatible - not only for QNAP systems โ€ข PLX Bridge chip - does not require a motherboard with PCIe fanout โ€ข Downloadable โ€ข No special driver Required - Windows automatically detects and installs drivers โ€ข Heatsink + fan included Drawbacks โ€ข Inefficient heatsink and fan design โ€ข Performance drop in synthetic benchmarks with 4k > 1 thread I tested QM2-2P-344 and QM2-2P-384 on a Windows PC. There is no noticeable performance penalty in a single SSD configuration compared to aโ€ฆ

Works with QNAP TS-453b

I bought this expansion card to use with my QNAP TS-453b NAS enclosure. I also added a 256GB WD NVMe M.2 memory module in a slot to speed up the cache. (The system does not require them to be used in pairs and may vary in capacity.) Note that the QM2-2P10G1T uses up to 2 faster Gen 3 NVMe M.2 drives. QNAP sells another model that supports legacy non-NVMe M.2 modules. The card itself has a thermal sensor in the center of each card slot to monitor M.2 SSD storage temperature. I have tested thisโ€ฆ

Seems a bit overpriced but worth it for the QNAP NAS

Recently bought a QNAP TS-453be and found that after setup all the disks are used to store the OS and applications. I didn't care, and I wanted the OS to be separate and on fast SSDs. I would notice a significant slowdown in the Plex interface since the database is running in a RAID group and not on an SSD. I could get an expansion enclosure and put an SSD in there. This would be a more expensive and space consuming option. In a way, this would prevent buying QNAP, so I decided to go thatโ€ฆ

Does exactly what it says on the tin but speed can be a bottleneck

I took a chance and bought four of these as part of the NVMe cache tier for my budget Storage Spaces Direct Build (four LFF Dell C2100/FS12-TY) . They work exactly as expected and work great with S2D. Ready to run on Windows Server 2016. The only reason I can't give it five stars is because of a design bottleneck. The card only has one PCIe x4 interface that can be shared between the two x4 NVMe cards installed on it, which causes problems when trying to use both cards at full speed at the same

Expensive but works

Purchased to add NVMe to my QNAP TS-453D. Build quality is excellent, NVMe installation was hassle-free. Since it is a QNAP brand, my NAS recognized it immediately. As for the price, it is expensive compared to many other brands. For example, I bought an SSD expansion card for one of my old PCs from Revain for $20. So why did I choose the QNAP brand? Well, to be honest, almost none. However, I read many reviews from other brands where people had problems with the NAS not recognizing the card or
