Don't use thicker screws than the ones provided

I've used them in the past and they're great. However, I strongly recommend not using thicker screws than those included in this kit. If the screw is too thick, it will begin to drive the anchor deeper into the wall. If the anchor penetrates even a half inch into the wall (depending on the thickness of the drywall) and isn't flush with the wall, it can simply poke a decent hole in the wall instead of an anchor. Luckily the fairly clean holes in my wall were perfect for some of the latches I had

inexpensive screws with slightly rounded heads

Have been using this anchor for a very long time. The anchor part of the wall is fine. However, the screws are not very strong. I hung a flush mount shelf and grabbed these anchors in case I couldn't find a bolt. I have used this type of anchor for kitchen cabinets and all associated glasses. I was lucky enough to find the studs when hanging the shelf and the doweled screws almost hit the wall before rounding out and going no further. I drilled pilot holes in the studs and used dish soap to…

Superior Quality and Durability

I've bought it many times and I'm always happy with it. I prefer these zinc anchors to plastic/nylon anchors mainly because they are less prone to breakage and can still be used if they do break. % actuation speed), use of gentle pressure, and use of an impact tool increases the likelihood of a successful installation and greatly reduces the likelihood of breakage. However if one of these breaks it doesn't matter, you can either drill a pilot hole or stick the dowel into the drywall until the…

Hmm, yes, that's FIFTY anchors. But excellent anchors.

Great anchors! I have installed hundreds of different styles of wall anchors over the years and this style is my favorite. Self drilling aspect for noobs. It's always better to drill a pilot hole to allow the threads to do their job better and give a cleaner finish. (although you will still need to sweep and vacuum the baseboard or floor). As with any screw, choose a drill slightly thinner than the width of the anchor core. Drill a pilot hole exactly where you need the anchor. Then screw in the
