Good Heavy Pump: Water Pumps Parts & Accessories

It definitely pumps water. I use it to pump a mixture of water and nutrients from a reservoir through a garden irrigation hose. He stays immersed in the acidic solution the whole time, and so far so good. It will empty the tank faster than it can fill with the water pipe.

Heavy Duty Pump: Rough Plumbing

We use this pump to change the water in our paddling pool - so we can use it to water the plants in the garden rather than dumping all the water in one spot on the lawn. . I'm very impressed with how durable this pump feels - it's all metal on the outside and quite heavy. When not connected to and constrained by a hose, this pump will pump a ton of water. It comes with the necessary fittings to connect directly to a garden hose. Even with the hose connected, it pumps a lot of water very…

Works great and has no plastic case

I have an indoor garden here in the desert and use reverse osmosis water stored in 50 gallons. Tank. I water my young citrus fruits regularly and protect them from water with high salt content. For this I need a submersible water pump that is controlled by a switch. I figured the plastic tanks at the big stores would do, and they were bad until I could smell a strong petrochemical odor coming from the tank. The plastic wrap dissolved and splashed God knows what into the water. They were also…

What a pump! A++ is the best in water pumps, parts and accessories

I don't usually take the time to review products but for this pump I just need it. I got into trouble the other day digging trenches and digging in a new power grid on my property. I came across the top of a 5 inch concrete gutter slab for the perimeter and floor drains in my 60 year old building. There was no way of knowing where they were going, so I took a chance and just knocked out the top of the tile at a depth of 24 inches. The ditch, this one about 50 feet long, slowly filled in which…

A good thing to keep an eye on is how the weather and flooding changes.

My basement has had a lot of water problems in the 16 years I've lived here. I've had three standby sewers in as many years, and luckily the city has separated storm and sewers so I didn't get swamped, at least not like that. However, there are other ways to flood you, and in my basement is a large underground room sealed off beneath a master bedroom and an additional bath that was installed 15 years after the house was built in 1955. There were copper pipes in there, and they froze a few years

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
