Good product! suitable for spares

These are great shock absorbers and should outlive the truck I fitted them on! However, be aware. One of the units was clearly used, abused, or both before I received it. Not only does it have severe wear and tear on the outside of the shock, it also lacks most of its gear. Luckily I didn't need any hardware to install it, but it was still a disappointment. Since this item works just like the 'new' one it came with and is installed on an old rusty truck I decided to keep it. Installed on a 1976

RECEIVED WRONG ITEM best in Shocks, Struts & Suspension

WHEN I ORDERED 4 RANCHO SHOCKS FOR MY '93 JEEP WRANGLER I THOUGHT I WILL BUY 2 REAR AND 2 SHOCKS. When they arrived I got 4 rear shock absorbers for my jeep. After contacting the sender I was told I would be charged $25.00 for refills. SOMEWHERE ON THE WEBSITE IT WAS NOT STATED IF THE SHOCK ABSORBERS WERE REAR OR FRONT SO I ASSUME THEY WERE THE 4 SHOCK ABSORBERS I NEED FOR THE JEEP. I hope they help with the refill costs and send me the 2 front shocks I thought I would get. THE SHOCKS ONLY COME

I kept hearing and feeling the axle banging against the frame as I went over fairly small bumps and called customer service. Of course they told me they MUST be mounted with the barbell up. After I swapped them out, the ride was much firmer, less bobbing, and an overall better feel. Now all I have to do is figure out how to keep the rubber boot on the rod on the nearby exhaust pipe from melting. I've learned my…

NEW STUNTS for parts

Old Ranch (replaced) 142,000 miles on 4WD S-10 (low off-road light) Installed upside down (tire room) and still runs better. Fixed the oversized tire vibration issue, so there was no reason to doubt the correct up or down direction in the fine print. NEVER TRUST ANY CAR MECHANIC, even a good one. The new Rancho has more adapter clips (to fit more car models) BUT the stud spacing was MORE on my car. This is currently not a problem. The ride is still very good even on the NEW HIGH CA Tax road…
