I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

I always have a compact sharpener in my car. If you need to adjust the fillet knife while fishing, then the tool is always at hand, it doesn’t weigh much and doesn’t take up space. They are unlikely to be able to sharpen a dull rusty cleaver, but it is easy to fix a slightly tired knife.

Unsuccessful purchase, I am disappointed.

The color gray does not match the description at all and there is no branded packaging, just packed in a little bubble wrap. . . I doubt the quality, as they try to supplement, but it was a gift and it did not come out (((

It helped, but I've had better luck with other sharpeners.

I received a set of cheap kitchen knives which are very soft to the touch and come with a sharpening steel. I just had a bit of luck with the stick technique, so I figured this might work better. When I used this sharpener it seemed to help the knife it was tested on get back to where it could cut better. I also had a very similar sharpener from a different brand and used it on other knives in the same set. These knives cut much better than the ones I've used this on. I have since put this…

Good price at less than two dollars.

Most sharpeners like this one have carbide blades for the main side and ceramic blades for the thin side. This one has two ceramic stones and no carbide cutters. For a really dull knife, it's better to have carbide. But they are much cheaper and work well. I use them on my fillet knife every two or three trout I clean and they work well. I had one of these as a precaution when one of the bars broke. I started to "sharpen" the knife before realizing I was just trying to "cut" the already broken…

This is a good value "disposable" sharpener. Due to the nature of the design - ceramic rods in a hard-to-reach spot - this is good for a limited number of sharpening operations as the pores in the ceramic rods become clogged with metal from the blade, which is released during the sharpening process. The classic ceramic crock sticks and smiths can be cleaned with scouring powder and a sponge or a special eraser, but again, there are no tiny sticks in them. That being said, even a one-time use of

Get the Quick Edge Tool

This is a very handy tool sharpener. It doesn't take up much space in your tool box, travel bag or tote bag. It's a simple device that works well and is unlikely to break. It feels good in the hand and makes sharpening quick and easy. After 5-10 strokes with the blade of this tool you will get a very sharp edge. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for sharpening your expensive tools but for everyday knives etc. It will give you a fast cutting edge. I use several cheaper knives every day and…

Comfortable but wears out VERY quickly.

Updated review: I bought a few of these in 2014 when they were about $3 each, but it's 2020 and they are between $8-$9. When sharpening really blunt knives, they wear out very quickly at the base of the V-groove and then only blunt the blade very much. I'd say they're good if you're on a nature trip to *sharpen a dull pocket knife, fishing knife, or a camp kitchen knife. It's easy to use even if your hands are stiff, dry/cracked or just injured from cold, wind and overuse. It's also small and…

Knowing what it's used for

These little sharpeners usually fail because the customer expects too much. The device is intended as an emergency tool in the wild in case you want to cut the blade easily or have the blade sharp enough (for regular 24 degree blades like a hunting knife). You attach this to your keychain or a hanging point on your gear when you go out into the great outdoors. It's designed to 'replace' a proper set of files and whetstones when you just can't afford the extra weight or bulk on a hike. The blade

This contraption really works

This two stage sharpener is very simple and easy to use and actually works quite well. I use it to sharpen my pocket knives and loin knife, I've also sharpened a few kitchen knives and they were all sharp enough to cut through a piece of paper. I took it on a recent hike, put it in my tackle box and used it a few times. I cut some branches with my pocket knife, sharpened with this little dandy and later cut my steak with it. and then I cut some trout into fillets. Head and tail chopped off…

I understand that some people prefer to sharpen their knives and other cutting tools with a whetstone, which is great. But my problem is that I rarely get a very sharp edge with a rock. I just can not. Also, the stone is something that is difficult to carry around. I've found that while some purists see this as a cheat compared to the traditional sharpening stone method, this lightweight sharpener gives me a huge advantage. knife every time. Also, it is lightweight and easily fits in your…
