Faulty repair in spare parts

My boat has started about 5 times now it doesn't work properly. The mechanic said the starter was defective. I told him it was recently installed, further inspection revealed it was a poor repair.

Mist Chinese Assembly Part

Purchased for 4 Cylinder Mercruiser. Sporadic starting problems after 3 months 6 months failed. After reading the reviews and checking the BBB. Didn't even bother fighting them for a $70 refund. Just bought a Quicksilver and have had ZERO problems since. Please don't waste your time with these products you will only be disappointed and after reading their BBB answers you have to deal with extremely poor customer service. Also. 1 star only because Revain won't let you give less.

Pros
  • Starter - Voltage: 12v Rotation: Clockwise Drive Teeth/Splines: 11 Source: Aftermarket
Cons
  • Operating Speed

Good price! So far, so good!

Installed on a 2002 GM 350 Small Block. Judging by the video, it starts now and doesn't struggle when the old starter was about to die. Installation takes about 20 minutes compared to about an hour to remove the old launcher. A few comments.1. It's much smaller than the old starter. Rest assured that if you choose a starter with the same bolt pattern, it will fit. I noticed that there is a small gap between the flywheel cover and where the new starter motor now sits. OK. Time will tell how it…

Pros
  • Your computer has been tested to ensure consistent quality and unmatched reliability.
Cons
  • Minor issues
