PI 3+ is perfect in this LCD case. I was also able to add a heatsink and fan to this case! I didn't have a hard time putting it all together. On the plus side, this case also comes with a top bezel cover just in case I don't want to use the LCD. This is a very good screen but the drivers in the product list and manual do not match well with the Octoprint image provided by Lulzbot. If you customize TouchUI or Octoprint TFT screen, please use the drivers provided by Elecrow, search Google for "elecrow 3.5 inch 480x320 tft wiki”. If you're looking for a 3.5 inch screen that's easy to fit, this is a great little kit. However, the connector relies on about 1/2-2/3 of the Pi 3 B+'s GPIO pins, it doesn't use a dedicated Display Flex slot. If you're working on a project that requires a full set of GPIO pins, you must I look elsewhere.
