factory second, but a lot.

Just arrived today and I like it. It was the second of the complex. There was no original packaging and the charging cable was a plain Revain cable. That's all good for the substantial discount I got. Everything works (for the most part). Very harsh so you might annoy others but I'm looking for a new and different experience in typing and this delivers. Three things I don't like. The keyboard backlight is on by default. You can turn them off with the Function/F keys. Second, when the keyboard…

  • Satisfied so far

Misadvertised in keyboards, mice and accessories

The Razer website says "Key feel: tactile and quiet." These keys are not quiet at all. This keyboard is VERY LOUD. I would compare typing on this keyboard to shaking glass balls in an empty metal coffee can. The layout, look and feel are generally as expected. Other features are ok but I rate this one star for misleading and false advertising. Some components of the Synapse software require registration. Part of it allows me to use it as a guest, other parts don't. Login is not required and is…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Hard to tell

I've been using an inexpensive wired mechanical keyboard with a blue switch for a few years, but I'm fed up with the cord. I work from home and having a wired keyboard and a second keyboard for my Chromebox is annoying. This keyboard really solved almost all my problems. The switches are a bit softer than the blues but as you can see here I don't leave any typos lol. I'm editing before submitting, but my typos are still significantly less with these orange switches compared to the blue switches

  • Nice
Cons
  • Older model

Imperfect but beautiful.

I really like the look. Was looking for a completely wireless setup. Works great, but battery life drops. I run it with the lights off but still need to charge it. If you remember to turn it off, it seems to work better. But it seems to be using quite a bit of power even when it is "sleeping". There were problems with it, it just didn't work anymore. Turning it off and on doesn't solve the problem. The only thing that seems to fix the problem is unplugging the USB stick and plugging it back in.

Razer Keyboard Quality/Customer Service

Bought a Razer Pro keyboard last week. It worked well, but it's by no means the best mechanical keyboard I've used. I fully charged the keyboard and used it for 3 days. The battery is dead so I put the keyboard on the couch in my office to charge it so it's out of the way. I tapped the couch keyboard. He fell about 18 inches, or less than half a meter. One of the legs broke. I called Razer and discussed purchasing a replacement part. I have been informed that replacement parts for Razer…

No customer service, buy at your own risk

I have had two keys (M and N keys) broken within 6 months of using the keyboard with a break in the same place, indicating a manufacturing defect or what is more likely is an assembly error (see photo). When I contacted customer service and asked for two replacement keycaps, they informed me that they do not have replacement keys and that the two-year limited warranty does not cover those two keys. This is unacceptable for a $140 keyboard. Remember that if a component fails, you cannot fix it…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

It was a total joke

To be honest I'm disappointed in this attempt at a decent keyboard. I have other Razer products and this is by far the cheapest product I have seen from them. Yes the top plate is aluminum but the base is awful scratchy cheap plastic (remember the Orochi mouse) what were they thinking?! The battery life is terrible and the white lighting isn't the same as the Razer Huntsman Limited Edition. It was a bright white LED which looked very nice and the build quality was much better on this keyboard…
