Didn't fit my 2000 Honda Accord

The knobs looked like my old standard knobs but they didn't fit and I didn't want to force them to fit the shafts. I was able to put one half on but it didn't sit flush. I see other people have luck with their 2000 Honda Accord but unfortunately it didn't work out for me.

  • Vulgarity

works with slight modifications>.

{numbered side handle} works by first removing the metal latch and pulling part way out of the handle a and then pushing hard. {Temp Side Handle} Fits with a little modification, had to remove the metal latch inside the handle and drill out the handle a bit and partially pull it out of the a, then press firmly.

The grips fit from a '99 Honda Accord.

After ordering these I became concerned when I noticed that all the reviews said the grips didn't fit. They fit my daughter's '99 Honda Accord LX fan and temperature control rods. It was very difficult for her to get in. There is a metal seal inside the handle. I had to pull it out, place it on the control stem, and then very carefully turn the knob on the stem. It wasn't easy, but one day this place offers a very tight fit. Hope you don't have to take them off! So they work and are a good fit…

Any port during a storm

I needed a handle for my 20 year old floor fan as the old one was literally falling apart. No one was selling "just a pen". So when I came across this pen designed for an electronic device like a radio, I figured beggars couldn't make up their minds, and even though it costs 1/20th (or less) of its true value, I bought it. I had to remove the inner sleeve of the hemispherical mounting connector to get it to fit. I think this knob was metric and the fan bolt might have been SAE sized but it fit.

Fits 1998 Honda Accord Once I knew what I was dealing with

As other reviewers have pointed out there is a metal gasket in the knob. The original grip also had one of these which I didn't notice at first, it was still on the steering stem when I removed the old grip. Important: The new handle + the seal will not fit if the old seal is still there! I removed the gasket from inside the new knob with a precision screwdriver and reused the old one that was already installed on the stem. After that it's perfect. Long story short: pay attention to the metal…

Scratched and poorly fitted

I bought these knobs because the connection point inside is stronger than standard Honda knobs. My AC fan pulley is a bit difficult to turn and I've broken two other handles in the past. When I received these pens and took them out of the box, I noticed that one of them had scratches. Like it was used and sent back or something. Both have a metal clip on the inside of the connection point. The scratch-resistant handle had a piece of metal that was horribly warped. I knew it wouldn't fit on the…

Didn't fit at first - had to modify

Ordered this set of replacement grips for my 1999 Honda Accord. When they arrived the handles didn't fit. Looking at the grips, I saw that the metal D-sleeve that fits over the device controls wasn't 100% correctly formed. This prevented the button from sliding slightly over the controller block as the tolerances seem to be pretty tight. I still had my original broken buttons and had to remove the "D" bushing from the original manufacturer's buttons and replace them with the D-bushings that…
