Description of πŸ“» RED WOLF Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Aftermarket Stereo Install Wiring Harness with RCA Adapter & Antenna Connector (2006-2012)

compatible with Ford stereo with no Sync: Escape 2006-2007, 2003 - 2010 Crown Victoria, Expedition 2007-2014, Explorer 2006-2010, Explorer Sport Trac 2007-2010, F150 2004-2009, Taurus X 2008-2009, Edge 2007-2010, Mustang 2004-2009. Lincoln: MKX (w/ OEM NAV) 2007-2010, Navigator (w/ OEM NAV) 2007-2014, Mercury: Mariner 2008-2011, Mountaineer 2006-2010, Sable 2008-2009. Hyundai Sonata 2006-2008. Allow to install an aftermarket radio using the existing factory wiring and connectors. Wire harness has been coded that easy to know which one for supply signal and power to the factory amplifiers. Some vehicles usually requires the red ignition wire power supply from the new radio has to be run separately from the vehicle radio harness. in this case, install will not retain some features like steering audio controls, rear DVD audio, etc unless extra adapters use. Easy install. Take the harness from new stereo and matched up the wire colors. Soldered and insulated with heat shrink will be a best way then directly plug without cut or splice anything in the car.

Does the job but limited

Bought for a Ford Escape 2011 Limited, it works with the car but it's not just plug and play. We had to run a power cable to make the unit work. Also, the steering wheel remote control doesn't work. If anyone has a better solution, please let me know.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I won't say anything

No connection, remote cable didn't work

Remote cable didn't work and I had to run my own connection cable to make it work. Also, the little square piece was wrong, and to match the factory wire, the other wire harness had to be another long wire harness with 10 or more pins. Not a small 4 pin. You have a 2009 Escape XLT. He said it was a match. There was no plug and go situation

Pros
  • Solid surface
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Type of work for cars and automotive electronics

I think it depends on what car you are installing this on. I installed it on a 2010 f150. It was pretty easy and simple to install. until ignition performance matters. I followed the instructions and my main unit did not turn on. After some research I found out that the radio wiring harness was not getting any ignition current. I had to run additional wiring to the fuse box to get everything working properly.

Pros
  • Quality build
Cons
  • Some little things

STOP: Not working on 09 Escape

FYI. If you have a Ford Escape 08-12 with timing system this will NOT work. Red (auxiliary power) is not in the standard harness. I've searched everywhere and couldn't find an alternative pin/wire to use in the stereo section. There are no problems with the adapter itself, Ford (for whatever reason) didn't even bother to connect a switching power supply to the stereo. never seen before I had to give up all efforts and give everything back.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Almost never

Small jack does not fit Ford Escape 2008

This wiring harness includes two jacks. The smaller of the two did not fit the smaller of the two factory plugs on my 2008 Ford Escape. The attached photo shows the smaller of my jacks (top left, red face) which was too wide for the Red Wolf jack (top right). The large plug and plug fit perfectly. I am also attaching a photo of the instructions that came with the kit. If I can somehow solve this problem I will post an update. They quickly accepted the return and refunded my payment, so I'm…

  • Absolute Legend

Not a perfect match, I wonder if it will work.

I am currently awaiting delivery (which should be today) but I was getting my new head unit ready and pulled the original head unit out of the car when I noticed some differences. I have a 2008 Mercury Mariner. Hybrid car. It has an audiophile package (factory amp + subwoofer) on the back, but it doesn't have a touchscreen or navigation box. I want to upgrade to an Android dual din touch screen head unit. I was concerned about getting the correct wiring harness as there are differences between…
