🌪️ Redken Color Extend Graydiant: Revitalize Gray & Silver Hair with Purple Shampoo & Hair Toner Review

I love this shampoo. I was brunette all my life until I turned grey. I still have the basic red undertones even though I'm gray now. I bought the purple shampoo and was unhappy my hair was always too yellow or too orange until I found out there is a blue shampoo too! Purple removes orange copper and blue shampoo removes yellow tones from hair. I love it, I have ice blonde hair with a shadowy roots and that's my secret.

You must have a shampoo and I decided to try this Redken for its anti-yellowing claim. My white still has a yellow/green tint to it, but I don't want to blame the shampoo entirely because our water is semi-hard. Redken Color Extend Graydient Purple Shampoo got rid of the yellow cast in my white and gray hair! Wonder! I have gray hair with purple and blue highlights. This shampoo smells and feels great on my hair leaving it feeling nice and clean. I was a little concerned that the purple would stain my tiles/grout but I had no problem (light gray tiles and grout). No stains on hands either. I think it lightens my gray hair but it didn't have the effect I was hoping for and lengthened my purple highlights. This is the only color shampoo I use on my hair, mixed shades of grey/silver. There is no yellow at all. Tried others. There are yellowish tones. That's it ! However, you must rinse your hair well or your silver locks will take on a purple hue!

My hair is already a bit dry from being frizzy but oh my god this shampoo made it look like straw. It's a deep purple blue to bring out the silver highlights, blah blah blah, but definitely worth the price. My head was full of dry, brittle straw. Thrown away.
