We had a Herm Sprenger collar but it was very difficult to put on and take off. This is exactly what we were looking for in a buckle. I also love the black color so it suits my dog well.

This tine is great and I love the quick release. My only issue with it is the rusting on the buttons holding the leather after only 7 months of use. I know HS doesn't rust and lasts a long time, but this quick release does rust. We only ordered a regular HS after this got rusty and has held up without rusting and hopefully will last for many years to come. I really hope that the metal used for the buttons is changed so that the HS can continue to live by the "do not rust" motto.

Love this training collar. I chose black because people who don't think wearing a training collar is a good thing stare at me. It fits my dog's neck, is easy to put on and take off, and works great for getting my dog on his heels while walking. I wish I had known that a year ago. It's more expensive than others but worth it. I highly recommend!

This collar is of very good quality. I really like the black collar as it blends in with my dog's coat and people can't tell it's a spiked collar. I don't want to deal with uninformed people who think it's bad for dogs. The quick release buckle on this collar is much easier to use than putting the collar on and off by removing the link. My dog trainer said it was good. FYI, when measuring a dog's neck, remember that this collar should sit high on the neck and below the ears. Not knowing better,

I ordered this collar for my GSD mix. It will NOT fit a 17" neck, it's too small. Luckily I also have a small GSD mix that fits. The teeth are not properly rounded for a real Sprenger collar and the links are not of the same quality in my opinion. like sprinklers. So look for size and quality at the same price. Spiked collars have never been our first choice. Unfortunately, our dog is very busy. Numerous training sessions, treats, and trying other methods eventually led us to realize that she simply wouldn't respect any other type of collar, ultimately resulting in her windpipe becoming compromised.
