I love drinking through a straw or sipping through a spout. It's perfect when I have ice cream! I drink through a straw until the ice has melted enough to keep my teeth from freezing, then pop open the spout to drink the rest! Will definitely be buying more for my other bottles!

Flip top and spout are a great feature. . BUT. . The flip is made for the hands of a 3 year old child. I understand they couldn't make it that big because it would get in the way of the spout and might make it easier to manipulate. The material doesn't seem that strong. . the time will show.

Mouthpiece interferes with proper drinking through a straw. It's a good concept, but there just isn't enough room on the lid for all the features. Second, most new lids come with padded accessories to make drinking through a straw more comfortable (not this one). In general everything is good, but not excellent.

Don't buy them, they're hard to put on a water bottle, plus they break or even fall off a bit. I tried returning them and getting new ones because one broke and I left, maybe I had a broken one, I didn't because the others broke. I thought the straw was really cool, but that's about it.

So I re-read the reviews which is why I originally chose this product and to be honest I throw the BS flag at any review that has high marks for leakproofness . Leaks whenever my compatible hydroflask isn't bouncing up and down. Falls on its side, flows. The straw works well but as the screw cap keeps leaking it's almost a useless product for me. Took about a week before I got so excited I threw both lids in the trash.

These caps work great when you put them on. It takes a lot of work to align them and put them on a thermos or hydro flask. It seems that the thread inside the cap isn't very deep, or at least the first one, so it's difficult to get it on the bottle. They don't lick much after that unless the bottle is turned upside down. 2 holes are great, much more useful than alternative lids. However, you notice that the plastic is a bit cheaper than with hydroflask caps.

Overall I really like the design of the lid. It's smooth and the idea of two sip options is really smart. Especially when you finish your drink and the straw can't reach it, the hole in the lid is handy to drink the rest. I also like that I can lazily hold the bottle with one finger on the cap handle and drink through the straw at the same time. This is my new lid. Have tried a few now and this is my favorite. No leaks and despite the description it fits perfectly in my bottle of Simple Modern Summit. I think it will, as all the other kids advertised as Hydro Flask are also advertised as Simple Modern. One issue I live with and that could be improved is the straw. If you want the flat part to be along your teeth (a more comfortable way to drink) then either the pant cap or the handle hits my chin or you have to face the floor to drink.
