Honda Key Fob Cover Case: 2PCS Replacement Shell for Accord, CR-V, Ridgeline, Civic & Pilot Review

Easy repair of my broken O7 CRV. The only thing I didn't like was that the screw was about 1mm longer. A simple fix is to shorten the screw a bit so the case halves pull together tightly.

To be honest I was skeptical, but it worked! I figured I would have to buy the whole dam key again and pay over $300. But it works. My original key had no support when turning the key.

This worked great for our 2008 Honda Fit. The key blade slipped out of our original fob and my husband and I swapped fob positions depending on who was driving the Fit. Installation was easy and took less than 2 minutes. It even came with a screwdriver so I didn't have to look for it. We didn't have a chip in the original key fob, so we don't need to insert it. For now (just did a replacement this morning so no indication of how well this will hold up) I would highly recommend this product.

I have ordered two and have only replaced one unit to date. The one I used did not work as described. They inserted the blade into the internal blade holder and it wasn't the right size, was so off center I couldn't align the screw. Then when I put the whole block back together, it didn't come together. The key I fixed was taped and wobbly. The new key when I was done had to be held together with tape and it wasn't that wobbly. This unit is a direct replacement for the original key fob. Key and transmitter fit perfectly. One of the advantages of this device over the original is that the original uses a short screw that threads into the metal key just through the back cover of the fob. On this unit the screw is longer and the front of the case is threaded so the key is held more securely and there is less stress on the plastic case than the factory unit.
