Lately I've had a lot of problems with leaking toilets. About six months ago I bought a new toilet screen for my bedroom from Lowes and it's leaking again. I bought this damper for my guest bathroom a month or two ago and have had no problems. So now I'm ordering it again to replace the one I bought for my bedroom. Definitely a quality dampener, easy to install and I don't regret my purchase.

Other replacement valves were leaking and causing cyclic filling. Even replacing Toto OEM does not provide protection. It's been a long journey and I didn't have high hopes for it, but so far it's working great. After Toto tried to help he recommended replacing the entire flush assembly and it is a completely different design than the one that came with the toilet. Tank removal required. The material is not of the same quality as the TOTO/Korky brand, also the point at the top where the chain connects is different, resulting in the shock not fully raising when flushing - this can occur when trying to Installing it will affect side mounted spray arms with these unusual lever positions. But more importantly, the flap sometimes failed to create a watertight seal, so the water drained from the tank into the bowl very slowly, thus wasting water.

My old toilet flap was old and wouldn't close to prevent water from flowing out of the toilet. Bought this as a replacement. This one seems to fit nicely in the old hole and helps stop the flow of water. However, the chain was so long that it could catch on the rim of the damper, causing water to flow. I ordered this because my new Aquasource toilet was up and running in just six months. The muffler was easy to install but that didn't stop the job as upon further inspection I found a rubber band that was caught on the valve seal (left in the tank by the installer) allowing the water to continue flowing. After cleaning the partially loosened and sticky rubber from the damper seal everything worked perfectly! I'm still glad I got the new flap because the one that came with this toilet was hard…
