My only complaint is that I wish they were about 2-4 inches longer. This only makes the gaiters slightly larger when folded in half and worn like a bandana, allowing them to absorb more sweat.

I absolutely recommend for double masking. I wear them over my N95. This gives me much more optimal protection - the gaiters keep the mask closer to my face.
