won't rust like OE

was a great solution. It fit perfectly and worked flawlessly. We were able to reinstall without removing the shafts or motor. In addition, the entire body has been covered with rubber/plastic, which would prevent the engine from rusting like the original part. I had a good and easy fix.

Pros
  • just fine
Cons
  • only available in black

Works great a few months after installation. No complaints.

Works great. I installed this on my Johnson 200 Ocean Runner many months ago and it works great. Corrosion has not been observed so far, although we sail in salt and brackish water, but we desalinate our boat after every sail. I am satisfied and will buy from these people again.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Bad impression

I want this to continue for a few more years.

This motor has served me well for almost 2 years. The boat is used weekly in salt water all year round. It's recently started making loud noises when activated, which I think means it's breaking down. I would rather pay more and get more years of service to avoid the installation process.

Pros
  • certificate GOLS
Cons
  • sparse instructions

Defective part sent

Pump turns on on downstroke but not on upstroke, wiring reversed from bottom to top just to see if there is a wiring issue and not working on upstroke. Now, having owned several boats and having replaced these parts, I know what to look out for. Difficult to reach (almost a month) to the seller on this issue. I would like to get an answer to this question. I don't know if it's a defective item or what?

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some errors

Works but not as it should

I bought this for my 99 Johnson 115hp. It is installed as it should be. And it works, but I'm not sure I can believe it. This thing is loud, very loud and slow changing at times, I don't think it's going to raise the engine at all. I would only recommend spending the money and getting a genuine part. It works, but it's not worth spending extra money and buying a genuine part.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

-1 star: Trim motor o-ring was leaking when new. Had to use sealant -1 Star: Wires had to be cut with new ends due to different bundle size -1 Star: The top wire screw is not stainless steel so will rust immediately after a single use in the salt water with an immediate fresh rinse. Everywhere there is a non-stainless screw I had to use sealant.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
