Technology reduces fluctuations

Given the design constraints, this is a very useful tool. It seems impossible to keep the lead steady 100%, hence there is a slight wobble. The hand position shown in the Revain photo is inadequate - the palm must press firmly on the spacers to provide maximum stability. It helps to clear the shavings out of the hole every 1/8 inch or so. In addition, the high drilling speed reduces wobbling. With this process I was able to get clean vertical holes as small as 1/2 inch. up to 1 1/8" diameter…

Proper Drill Guide for Proper Faustner Bit

So my wife decided I should do the oak shelves over the sink on the counter to replace the ones she bought out of chipboard years ago. I don't have a carpentry shop so my choice of tools is limited. This is where the Rockler JIG IT Drill Guide shines. When used with a Rockler 5/8" carbide-tipped Forstner bit, I get straight and accurate holes every time without having to borrow a drill press. .

Good, but can easily be great.

First, the world revolves around price. This item is made of plastic with four tiny rubber feet. The depth gauge pictured isn't included, meaning there's definitely no $16 stuff here. Second, while this item works well with bits with larger shanks, such as B. the Forstner bits that Rockler sells, but it can easily contain metal inserts. this would make it suitable for use with the vast majority of bits, which increase in shank size in proportion to the size of the bit. I made my own set and was

I have to say I'm not satisfied, this is maybe the funniest thing I have.

Hello, I have to say I'm not satisfied, this is maybe the funniest thing I've ever bought. shown with 3 or 2 drill bits not included. Maybe it's my fault for not checking, but anything else that wasn't supposed to be shown as such or at least mentioned was not included and had to be ordered separately. The guide had to be fitted with some sort of rubber pad (there are 4 holes they are supposed to go in) to keep it from slipping, which was not included. I'm sorry, it was a waste of money…
