The finished product is beautiful and works great. The only downside is that some parts can break, so make sure you have glue on hand. I would suggest gluing the bottom outer ring decoration (the one with the alternating heart) because it won't hold and could fall into the inner compartment and jam the gears. This happened to me and it took me over 1 hour to get it out with long tweezers and a thin stick. Luckily I didn't have to disassemble and do any additional damage.

While this is a great idea, it is the opposite of ease of assembly and reliability. I will not recommend this item unless you want to punish someone. The small parts keep breaking as you go through many steps and fall under where the mechanism rotates. So you have to take the thing apart, peel off the broken part and try to put it back together. I've tried 3 times and I'm still not done. Since this was supposed to be a gift for someone, another gift had to be found.

A very good model which will be quite difficult to get all the wooden gears and cams to work. Mine works pretty well. Suggestions: All moving parts should be carefully sanded and waxed. I used petroleum jelly on most of the crank mechanisms. Sometimes I needed superglue, but rest assured you won't have to move anymore. I figured there should at least be a few extra pieces, but no, there weren't any, so I had to order a second puzzle. The company has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE as I have tried to contact them about 3 times with no response or confirmation.
