They are of low quality and as crazy as it sounds, they are really dangerous. The double-sided tape is attached to an incredibly thin piece of metal that you stick to the wall, and the metal plate has very sharp cut edges. Think of a can after opening, but about 5 times thinner. It wouldn't be a big problem but there is a plastic sheet on the metal that needs to be removed and that sheet is exactly the same size as the metal. I LOVE these lights. I had some doubts when I bought them. I was concerned they would turn on and off every 25 seconds while I was in the room and it would be annoying. Instead, they stay on as long as they detect motion and turn off 25 seconds after you leave the room. My only issue is that my toilet is in a separate room so the one in the bathroom shuts off leaving me in the dark. I fixed it by putting a second light in this room. They are great for our application. We have 2 rotating corner kitchen cabinets and trying to locate the item in their dark interior was an annoying inconvenience. There is no practical way to power the lamp unit from an outlet, so running the motion sensor on battery power should be a practical solution. They are doing great work in that regard.
