A Life Saved!: Grocery

I have an old African Gray that was a life saver. When I received the bird he was eating incredibly poor food and after many food tests we couldn't get him to eat anymore. Now he loves it and feels great. This is good food!

Pros
  • All is well!
Cons
  • Contact Seller

Flavor is hard to find, good product

Our eclect eats this flavor as the basis of its food. He was on Roady Bush for almost 4 years. His blood always comes back clean. In fact, we partially solved this problem with cholesterol. It added dried vegetables for vitamin A.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Thin

Winner Winner Parrot Dinner!

My African Gray LOVES these pellets, selects them first and needs to be refilled. I let him eat dried fruits and vegetables first but before he can eat more. Good thing! We are former Harrison users who just wanted a slightly cheaper pellet with less waste. It was a winner!

  • New
Cons

This is a great healthy pellet for your parrot

Good quality pellet! Your parrot should be fed a diet of 60-80% GRANULES and only 20-40% seeds and nuts, regularly supplemented with fresh vegetables, grains and cooked legumes. RoudyBush California Blend is perfect for everyone in our rescue from conures to cockatoos. Even my little LoveBird enjoys a few bites in their daily mix. Although I always feel that this is quite expensive and sadly forces the average parrot owner to feed inferior food.

Roudy Bush California Blend

My vet is an avian specialist and owns parrots. She's very picky about Petey's food and Rudy Bush is on a very limited list! The great thing about it is that it mixes in some extra healthy treats, nuts, and dried fruit, adding some variety to piti. Petey eats an omelet my vet recommended. The eggs are beaten and then poured into the pan. When the omelet starts to cook, I take a handful of Rhodey Bush and sprinkle it evenly and thickly over the egg. Fry on one side, flip and fry on the otherโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Good, but not great

My little green cheek LOVES IT!

The local bird shop has closed and the owners have retired. Of course, I only found out when it came time to get more bird seed that I could only get there. Suddenly I couldn't get my usual bird seed for both of my green cheeks. I went to a regular pet store and bought the best thing I could find that they hated and ordered it. I didn't realize this was a dried fruit mix; I was a bit desperate because they didn't like the new food and they made me sad about it. They've been eating Rudybushโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not as fat as the others

My birds love pellets

My birds (kennel and yellow-necked macaw) eat seeds and the pellets are in their food bowls on the top of the cage. They were given the Roudybush rice diet but I decided to try this for a change. They never get used to a new food so quickly. You are even more suspicious of the new fruit than at first sight. Of course there is a lot of waste. Once they turn the pellets into a floury texture, they find that they are no longer edible. But that goes for almost anything you feed your birds. They are

  • Lots of positive emotions
