This is the perfect shredder for apartment dwellers or those who don't have enough space to store a full size shredder. When I'm done with it, I just put it back on the bookshelf and it's out of sight, out of memory. I've had it for about a year now and haven't had any problems. I needed to replace the Staples MailMate which was a great little workhorse. I wanted the same desktop size and I really liked the look of it. It is smooth and looks very nice when the lid is closed. But I was very disappointed to find that the feed slot is even smaller than MailMate's.
