Mission accomplished

My trusty cheap kitchen peeler finally broke and I was heartbroken because for some reason finding a good peeler was always difficult. I'm glad it's working well so far. I can brush at high speed again and it actually grabs everything I'm brushing instead of just mopping, which is annoying. I would have liked the handle to be a little heavier, but the main thing is that it works. Hooray, mission accomplished.

Sharp and Strong - Kitchen Utensils and Gadgets

Finally a simple, sharp, durable peeler. I didn't want a fancy peeler, I just wanted a well made peeler to replace a 25 year old peeler that was boring. I bought one at a local discount store but the blade kept bending every time I used it. I had this on my wish list and hesitated as I felt it was a little pricey. I ended up buying it to raise enough money to get "free" shipping. I shouldn't have waited. That's good heavy steel. I assume it will last as long as my last peeler. The only problem…

Same: disappointing

After reading the previous reviews I was hoping that one of the last bad reviews was an accident. Wrong: Mine was roughly hewn, roughly sharpened, and very dull, no better than the $1.29 disposable tool I bought on a recent trip (two weeks from home and I was feeling carrot starved). Mine doesn't say 'Made in Sweden' or anywhere else so I'm wondering if like some other products it has switched to Chinese sources and the quality has gone. Lucca is credited for replacing the first item quickly…

Spicy, simple, simple - don't buy anything else!

I had such a peeler a year ago but I lost it, probably accidentally throwing the peel on it. Anyway, I've since bought a few grooming knives - fancy, expensive, unique designs, etc. I wasn't happy - they're not that sharp and break easily. I stumbled across this item one day but doubted it would be any better than the cleaners I bought. I read the reviews and decided to spend so much money why not take a chance. After all, this was the same as the one I had years ago. Well, let me tell you…

Peeler Belwether

. At the warehouse, the damaged peeler was placed first in a plastic bag and then in a box, despite having an obvious defect. The handle was deformed and severely bent. The thin sheet steel handle is not suitable for an effective grip when working at high speed. There are numerous dull spots on the blade that are obvious. 18/10 stainless steel doesn't hold its edge as long as many think. This design is an attempt to replicate the old first generation design that was a dependable and dependable…

Simple and Good: Peeler

I peel a lot of the fruit and veg on my menu and this peeler works better than any other type I've tried - way better! I used to always buy these types of knives from local grocery stores, but for some reason the local grocery stores stopped stocking them and the other styles they stocked don't work as well. So I bought this one from Revain. The metal in this style will eventually start to rust after two or three years, mostly around the pivot points of the handle, but I think that's primarily…

Slightly disappointed

I ordered this peeler when I couldn't replace my old peeler I bought at Wal-Mart a few years ago. I struggled with a very boring peeler for years and one day I decided to buy a new one. It only cost 88 cents. When I first used it I thought it was the best 88 cents I've ever spent! It was so beautiful and touching. He peeled vegetables like butter. But after a few years of very heavy use, I noticed that this little peeler might not be as sharp as when I first bought it. So, back at Wal-Mart, I…

It works but loses compared to Ekko.

I received this because my 20 year old Ekco knife is finally losing its sharpness. like my old Ekco, this one already has a small spot of rust on the edge of the blade. Compared to the old reliable Ekco cleaners, here is some information for those in a similar predicament trying to replace the old reliable: The Ekco is 6 inches overall. with a blade that has two 1 3/4" long cutting edges with a 1/8" hole in between. This RSVP has an overall length of 6 3/4" with two cutting edges that are also…
