Parts installation process

They didn't fit as well as the plastic parts but with a little time and a hand file they fit great and will never need to be replaced again

Pros
  • Outside mirrors
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Looks great. fits mirrors and parts

Installed on my 1986 CJ7. I had to drill a few holes for the screws, but this is a great replacement for the original plastic parts. Looks nice.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Rugged Ridge Mirror Brackets

Just the thing to complete the replacement mirror installation, great looking part that goes with my Rugged Ridge mirrors and replaces the white plastic bracket that was stock. Great price on Amazon and perfect packaging.

Pros
  • Mirror Bracket Bracket
Cons
  • Some small things

You have to work on them.

Fits exactly, which I like. Apparently this is the reason for the bad reviews. You need to tap them onto the mirror post with a rubber mallet. They work much better than the brittle plastic version.

Pros
  • Silver
Cons
  • Not bad

Don't waste time

This had absolutely no effect on the mirror shake and movement. They're not worth the trouble. The only good thing is that it's two sockets, so it's good for both mirrors. You must heat the bushings to install them without drilling the bushings. The transom mounts will need to be drilled once you have them all the way in. Now there is no way to remove them.

Pros
  • aluminum
Cons
  • boring packaging

A complete waste of money.

Totally disappointed with this product. This should be a very easy install, but the holes don't match the size of the mirror mounts. What's even more confusing is that they're both made by Rugged Ridge. Didn't anyone at the factory check if two parts were compatible before they started selling them? So I decided to modify them with a dremel tool to make the holes bigger. After finally making holes big enough to mount mirrors in, I found that the socket wasn't deep enough anyway, and no amount…

Pros
  • 5 Year Limited Warranty
Cons
  • Updates
