Wrap the lead wire "ASS " around the plug wire - do not alter or remove the wrapping!

The power supply is easily replaceable (CR2032 battery). The instructions for installing the sensor cable are a bit misleading. DO NOT change the insulation of the sensor wires to expose the small black and red wires. Just wrap the sensor cable 4-5 times around the connector cable and secure with a zip tie (had to learn how to do this on YouTube). The programming is easily suitable for different applications. You must know your engine speed to set this device.

I wanted to tune a 1-cylinder lawn mower engine to 1460 rpm when idling. The instructions say that the speed indicator should be set to the number of turns of wire from 2 to 10 times. Would I buy this if I already knew RPM? That's why I bought this device! I was expecting this to give me an accurate RPM reading so I could set the idle to 1460. Good product, bad battery life.

This thing is battery operated for breakfast, lunch and dinner. with a slice of battery cake to top it off. Seriously, this thing went through 2 CR2032s in less than 45 days just for sitting there. The backlight didn't come on. The engine it is attached to was not running. The engine is in an air-conditioned warehouse (65-85°F). I can't explain it other than with the diagram. I'll say, other than that minor issue, this thing is pretty cool! Lots of cool features to keep track of engine usage…
