Finally! USB-C KVM that works

This is the fourth Dock/KVM I've tried to get working with both my computers. I have a new Dell XPS15 laptop and a high end HP laptop (from work - can't remember the model number), both with USB-C ports. And either one of them didn't work at all, or both had display problems. I have Ultrawide (ACER 3840x1600) and I think that might be part of the problem, but I still don't understand why it was so difficult. This Sabrent device worked for the first time right out of the box - it was never…

Finally a KVM that works

I have a work macbook pro and a personal mac mini on my desk and I have tried 4 or 5 kvm and the mac had problems with all of them. This works as advertised. Video switching is a little slow, but I can live with that. My only complaint/wish list for this would be a USB-C peripheral port in addition to another USB 2.0 port for USB peripheral sharing.

USB-C KVM is second to none

To get straight to the point, Sabrent gets no credit for the amazing products they put out at insane prices. I purchased a Sabrent 2-Port USB Type-C KVM Switch sold by Revain for $99, $200 less than the closest comparable device, and has MORE features. This USB-C KVM: 1. Supports 4K 60Hz over HDMI 2.02. Requires no external power source, instead drawing power from connected computers3. Comes with a removable mounting plate for mounting to the underside of a table! 4. Comes with double-sided…

An interesting and functional hack of two USB-C adapters

Very interesting product. Instead of building a traditional KVM, Sabrent apparently took two standard USB-C dongles (or hubs, switches, or adapters) and bundled them together. Each dongle has: 1 - USB-C2 input - optional USB-C PD3 connector - HDMI4 output - two USB-A outputs with HDMI and USB-C connectors connected to both dongles. And a button to switch between them. It lacks the real benefits of USB-C video, like HDR if both the computer and monitor support it, or passing the USB-C signal to…

Works great - computer components

I had an existing OWC 13 Thunderbolt hub that worked great. But I added a working MacBook and wanted to switch from one laptop as my primary laptop with a 4K monitor to another laptop with a single click. It just squeaked. Everything sleeps properly and no extra power supplies. Only one Thunderbolt connection per laptop for power, video and USB. And all in 4K. Works perfectly. A 4K monitor can power (a Sabrent) one laptop, an old OWC can power (a Sabrent) another laptop. I couldn't get both…

ATTENTION: Ideal for a monitor. Not for multiple monitors! ! ! !

That's it. If you are using more than one monitor this will not work as you can only use one HDMI for one monitor (or duplicate the same screen on 2 monitors). It would be ideal if it was a display port or a USB-C monitor port. The extra USB-C ports are for power, and that's where I was wrong when I bought it. If you just want a monitor, BUY IT USED Too many people make the same mistake I did and return it in perfect condition

  • Acceptable

  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Doesn't work as advertised

I asked a question before purchasing and Sabrent Support answered: Can I use two USB-C devices connected to this device between my Mac and PC? They said that this is indeed one of the intended uses. I received the item today and have: - a USB-C camera connected to the device - a USB-C audio interface connected to the device - a USB-C connected to my Mac. - Connected a USB-C to my PC. To my surprise, neither Mac nor PC recognized the devices, making this thing completely unusable for me. The…

Works the same with Macbook and Mac Mini

I have a 2018 Macbook Pro 15" and a 2019 Mac Mini (one you can buy from Apple, cheaper model), this switch works great with them. A Thing I noticed is that the switch comes with TWO DATA Type-C cables! So for the price and ease of use, it's worth the price!

  • Regular Price

Just what I needed in a USB-C kvm

I'm using a 2-port USB-C kvm to switch between a Dell laptop (or sometimes a Surface Go) and an Intel Switch to the 8th generation NUC. The laptop has USB-C and the NUC has Thunderbolt 3. Both work smoothly with the media keys on the keyboard and the additional mouse buttons working properly. USB PD pass-through works, but only with certain brands of USB-C chargers. Non-brands generally didn't negotiate power supplies and the Dell didn't charge when connected to a KVM, although it did work when
