SawStop TSBC 10R2 Cartridge 10 Inch Blades Review

They work much better than the old ones. We were pioneers, and in the past an unfriendly look was annoying. They don't seem to function unless tickled. I don't know how many fingers we've saved over the years, but this technology has been worth every penny to me and my sawyers. Not to mention that this saw is built like a heavy truck.

I'm sorry to say the Sawstop cartridge didn't work on my Sawstop JSS. I spent several hours diagnosing the cartridge with sawstop support. They explained that Amazon is not an authorized reseller, so buyers should be aware that these cartridges may be defective. Better play it safe and buy directly from authorized resellers.

I want to be sure that an OEM replacement module is used in this safety critical table saw subassembly. It was easy to install and now my table saw is working again. For reference, the original brake cartridge worked when I tried to cut a pine board in high humidity 95° during the day. My guess is that the wood had properties that caused the saw stop sensor to be triggered by the brake cartridge.

This security feature is absolutely the best. I can't say enough about the speed with which it responded to wet wood, which could be my hand or finger. I'm so glad I bought this Saw Stop. I cut my thumb badly with a bandsaw. Two days later I bought a Saw Stop construction saw. Precise cuts. A great saw with the added benefit of safety features.

Brakes work well. As you would expect from a genuine part, especially when made by a brand like SawStop. Mine tripped while sawing a tree off a tree that was felled two weeks ago. Don't think you can replace the cartridge and blade in 90 seconds. I would say 10-15 minutes would be more accurate. This can take longer if you don't work with the knife, then the cartridge, then the knife, etc. Wiggle alternately and you may still have to use the crowbar on the blade and the big screwdriver on the cartridge.
