This was a replacement charger that charged my batteries from 75% to 100% at an 8 amp setting and then automatically shut off. This new charger is very unstable. Despite being 15 amps, it takes hours to increase the charge percentage (according to the display) from 75% to 99% and seemingly forever to reach 100% and go into maintenance mode. At 95%, the battery is already charged to over 13 volts, a fully charged battery has a voltage of 12.8 volts. I believe this charger charges the battery…

I've had a similar model for over six years. It worked great. This model works well, but Schumacher changed the display so you have to select (press the button) to see the battery capacity. Also, the charge voltage does not indicate the output voltage of the charger, but whether the machine detects the battery at 12 or 6 volts. Also, the battery capacity specification of this charger does not match similar chargers. You have to wait about 20 seconds for the charger to show the battery capacity.

The biggest problem with this so far is that there is conflicting information in the manual as well as on the box and extras. I wanted it for agricultural use and for charging deep cycle marine batteries on my boat.
