Works well well for sport

I use this foot pump to pump 65 pounds of air into my mountain bike. Very easy to use and can fill a tire in about a minute. You never have to resist pushing with your foot. The only small problem is that if you put the pump on a smooth surface, it tends to slip a bit when you press with your foot. Also, if you don't place your foot in the exact center of the pedal, when you step your foot down, the pump can tilt to one side. Overall it does a great job for what I need.

Pros
  • Little competitors

  • weak

I'm glad I don't have kids to hear my swearing

If you have a Presta valved bike, enjoy the loud swearing and finger clapping from the insanely strong spring lever that acts like a Catholic nun's ruler swings back, corporal punishment every time you use it, then this pump is for you. I can't tell you what it's like to work with a Schrader valve because I don't have one. The pump works, that's why I'm giving it three stars and maybe one day I'll be able to use it without causing myself so much pain. On the plus side, my heart rate is always…

Minor imperfections but otherwise fantastic pump

Great pump all round and will definitely buy again if I need a replacement. However, there are two things that hold it back. First, the valve cartridge is on its head compared to every bike pump I've ever seen or owned. When the lever is raised it is locked and when it is lowered it is unlocked. This is written on the valve itself, but no one who has ever used a bicycle pump will understand this intuitively. Second, the pin is too tight in its compartment and extremely difficult to remove…

This pump has destroyed all my Presta valve stems

The Presta valve has been around since the 1890's. Exactly how Schwinn managed to screw up *F* a technology that's been around for over a century, for which pump designs have been around for just as long, I suppose, is beyond me. They didn't have to invent anything, just produce. And they failed. This pump has a stranglehold on the Presta valves, making it impossible to remove the pump head from the impeller without great effort after inflating the tire. I've broken valve stems on every bike…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Okay I'm fighting between 4 and 5 stars for this pump. This got me very frustrated when it first arrived because I couldn't get the valve cartridge to stay on the pipe valve on both the Presta and Shrader. It wasn't until I cursed many, many, many times that I realized that the "detent lever" of a valve cartridge is the OPPOSITE of all other types of air cartridges I have used. JE! The picture I've attached shows the valve cartridge in the closed position. I noticed the pump didn't come with…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Hard to say

Barrel height not 25 "

Revain's listing description contains a misleading chart stating a barrel length of 25". This description is wrong. The overall height is 25 inches, not the trunk height. I prefer long barrel floor pumps. The volume of air from the outlet of the pump housing to the pressure gauge and the tire is quite small. Pumps with a gauge on the bottom are generally better because less energy is wasted building pressure in the extra space (the amount of wasted energy is proportional to the volume of the…

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • High price

As others have said, this thing works horribly, especially with Presta valves, but very poorly with Schrader valves. The locking mechanism is the opposite of any other pump as the top position is locked. The lock is incredibly tight, making it difficult to lock and unlock. The biggest problem is that you can't remove it from the valve! As you try to pry and pull this thing off the valve, air will rush out of the tube. This happens with every type of valve. You have to inflate the tire extra to…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Nothing here

Real bargain for bike pumps

After years of using a plastic pump in big boxes (which actually costs about the same as this) and getting fed up with it, I found this one and decided to give it a go to try. Wow, that was a good decision. I was expecting to spend about double what I spent on something of decent quality so that was a big surprise. Very durable, nice long hose and additional accessories on top of that. A deal, to say the least. I use this pump for bike tires at least once a week and it gets the job done…

Really good deal of accessories
