Not worth the investment

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I was able to determine that these sharpeners were lackluster at best. The gripper pads didn't grip the surface well and resulted in uneven sharpening. However, they did provide a decent shine.

Pros
  • Provides a decent shine
Cons
  • Inconsistent sharpening, poor grip.

Works great with hands.

It worked fine for me but I didn't use a drill. Handwork and a few minutes with each grit got my bits sharp enough. I didn't have a shed, but I had no idea what would happen if I used a drill.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • No Power

Required for cheaper cutters

Ordered lower quality cutters for a bench I was building and as most reviews said the cutters were not smooth and had material that needed to be removed. These cone bits definitely helped with stock removal and are needed more regularly unless you're paying over $200 for a set of slotted bits. That's a fair compromise. Better to spend a little more time sharpening than spend hundreds more on projects I don't do often.

Pros
  • Hand tools
Cons
  • Crumpled pack
