Excellent substrate!: Sand

Did you take the time to clean up? Yes. However, after rinsing it out thoroughly, I was able to add it to my tank and it didn't even get cloudy. I also mixed in some white play sand after cleaning it really well and it really helped soften the consistency of the sand and allowed me to get more bang for my buck that way. Looks great and so far I love it!

nice color πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ but cheap

I was curious how much of it was unusable sand/dust so I washed the product through a fine mesh screen which I use to clean the sand (the holes are small enough to wash the main Petco sand). The packaging says the larger pack is about 4.25 litres, and after washing it left 1.75 liters of useless sludge (think of the fine sand from the coast). great shit, there was already a low qpr product that i bought purely because of the color. so much of it is useless is a real disappointment.

I'm very happy with it, although I had to flush a lot it almost looked like I was mixing cement but after 8,9,10 flushes in a 5 gallon bucket I got a very light milky color of the water and added then add it to the tank which only has water in it and the water will still be a bit milky after a few hours if you just put the aquarium into operation and let it run for the first few days to allow the "dust" to settle and permeate can…

So very dusty. for fish and aquatic animals

I would only recommend use in a brand new aquarium where you can work for about a week before adding any stocking material (plants or fish) with a high filter mix flow using polishing pad or foam and occasional agitation. I washed it about an hour before putting it in the aquarium; even after that there was an incredible amount of dust. It covered all the plants I had planted in a fairly thick layer. It has a beautiful gray color and looks very high quality. I wanted to grow an aquarium with…
