Exact replacement for my boat ignitions. Be careful not to overtighten as the plastic parts can easily come loose. threads are ok.

The plastic threads separate from the locknut when tightened all the way down, does not close tightly and the entire key switch rotates when in use. Not impressed.

I was trying to use this to replace a broken ignition on my boat. The threads broke trying to tighten the switch to keep it from spinning in the hole.

It was really quick and easy to install. He worked like a champ. I really like that the rear electrical box is small because my dash is narrow and only fits this size or smaller. have small slots which makes it easy to mount them upright and straight if your dashboard also has slots.

I couldn't hold the top nut well enough on the threads to prevent the ignition from turning when the key was turned. I bought two of these devices and both did the same thing. The thread came out from under the metal nut. I ended up throwing them away and going for a brass-bodied SeaDog replica.

I received the goods on time. Went to install the next day and lo and behold its cheap plastic threads wouldn't hold the support nut on because it was nut thin! It would be easy to install, but now I'm putting it off until I find an all-metal one or one that's a little harder to hold in my boat so I don't get stuck. I would avoid this product
