Nice try. but not quite

I bought this ladder hoping it would work on my BW Dauntless 16 but definitely not. The design of the hull forces the ladder under the boat making it vertical and even more difficult to board than without. nothing at all. I don't think this works for anyone :(

Thumbs down: Sport

Really not worth taking, it doesn't stay in place at all while people are climbing bpar so if you don't Got great top strength body parts to lift yourself into the boat then I'm sorry to keep you in the water. Just spent the extra money to get a metal boat ladder that snaps into place or is sturdier.

  • I have no negative feelings about it, everything is fine

Don't waste your money

I don't recommend this ladder. We bought this for a perch boat and it is almost impossible to get back on the boat with this ladder. When trying to climb back into the boat, the ladder goes under the boat where it is impossible to reach the lever needed to climb. In our family of 4, none of us have successfully used it to get out of the water. It was a big waste of money.

Pros
  • Doping ๐Ÿ”ฅ
Cons
  • Some bugs

Not very durable but does the job!

We bought this to use on a rented pontoon boat. Although we didn't have to jump and swim, we did. It is impossible to board a pontoon boat without a ladder attached. Although this ladder is NOT stationary (it moves a little), it provides ample support when climbing back onto the boat. Without them, you would pull someone out of the water like a trash can full of rocks - impossible!

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Dear

Much cheaper than installing a swim platform ladder

I bought this so people can come back to our boat when they are on the sandbar. I launch it from the rear tow point of my Malibu VLX on a swim platform. People who have trouble getting back on the boat find it much easier. The alternative of installing a ladder and working with fiberglass on a swim platform seemed too complicated and expensive. When not in use, it is perfectly stowed under the seats in the boat.

Pros
  • This is amazing

The quality is not very convincing.

We are not very impressed with the quality of this product, as you can see in these photos the SeaSense rope ladder is broken. We bought it and used it aboard our sailboat in Burning Gorge Reservoir. There is no weight limit listed in the description but I guess I just thought it would hold up better. My husband is 165 pounds, I am 125 and my 13 year old son is 140. We used it all 3 times before it broke. I didn't check the return of this product just because my husband plans to fix it MacGyver

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Discontinued model

Easily unfolds and folds very nicely to store in a small bag or compartment.

I purchased this to use as a removable/temporary boarding ramp for my boat as there is no convenient place to permanently install a traditional boarding ramp. 1) You can't just throw the tip of the rope over the top and climb up the ladder like the pictures show. This causes the rope to slide down the pole until the rungs of the ladder rotate from horizontal to vertical. Instead, take the top loop and tie it to the spike like a string, up through the space between the spike's legs and aroundโ€ฆ

Poor design poor workmanship

Ladder floats on the surface so it is very difficult to get it down with your feet and untangle it. I have previously made my own aluminum tube rope ladder which worked MUCH better than this one as it descended in a straight line. However, it wore out, so I bought this ladder rather than building a new one, thinking it would work just as well as my homemade ladder. These ladders have a steep learning curve for the inexperienced, and there's one technique to using them - they're easy. once youโ€ฆ
