Suitable for observing the house from two sides

I made a simple corner mount (see photo) so that you can use one camera to monitor both the side yard and the back yard of my house. The Wansview W9 is well suited for this purpose as it can be remotely rotated 270 degrees (in fact it can rotate almost 360 degrees). The corner location is on the edge of Wi-Fi coverage, so there are some hiccups, but it does what I wanted. I have several Wansview cameras and keep buying new ones because it's nice to have an app to see everything. Their app is simple and easy to use, and camera setup is quick and easy. I connected this camera and it was online within 2 minutes. When I opened the box, I quickly realized how different this camera is from previous Wansview cameras. Wansview has been providing me with security and convenience for a while and I am very happy that they have launched the W9 outdoor camera. Their original outdoor camera was fixed and reduced overall security a bit, but again they nailed it. They have set the standard and delivered a quality product at a great price. A decent PTZ camera for the money.

Very similar to other wansview cameras. There is no web interface configurator. Only very limited configuration options can be configured in the Android app. These Wansview cameras appear to be set up for people interested in subscription cloud services and aren't really optimized for people looking to run their own RTSP cam server software. It took me a while to love this camera, but in the end I really like it! The best thing about this camera and other Wansview cameras (I have two models) is the setup. It literally takes less than a few minutes to set up the camera in the app. The pairing process is incredibly easy! Some tricky things I don't really like. Motion detection hit or miss. This camera is amazing. I was having internet issues at our house so it took me a while to check. I haven't found the exact spot where I want to place it. I wish they were lower than normal because they are so high you can only see the tops of the bad people's faces. I want it to be on par. Maybe you hide it somewhere on my fence. I DON'T KNOW. This camera is very solid in terms of materials, construction and functionality. The fact that it supports RTSP and ONVIF out of the box is a huge plus for those who prefer to use third-party apps or write their own code to interact with the camera. Setup was extremely easy. You will love and love this device

I have bought several of these devices over the last few years and this W9 is another great addition to my collection. I have W4, W6 and now W9. The W9 is slightly larger than the W4 and W6, but that's only because it's a PTZ. I have found that wherever I would install it instead of W4 or W6 it still fits and works perfectly.
