One of these is needed to fit heat shrink tubing over an extension that goes into a hedge trimmer. This works very well. Actually used to solder the heat shrink tubing for the inner wires and then the tube jackets on top. No problem melting the solder and wrapping all the repair work nice and tight.

It looks like a very good hair dryer for the price. Note that temperature control seems to work in reverse. It's cool when you turn the knob towards +, but other than that it works fine. However, I haven't tried any cold solder connections yet. I also ordered gray and got yellow, but it works the same way.

Heats up quickly and easily, delivering heat in the right amount and direction with the various nozzles included. The power button holds up a finger until a blue bar appears. Allow nozzles to cool before touching (5-6 minutes after high heat). In most cases, it is easy and effortless to crimp with heat shrink tubing in just four to five seconds.

It's almost like a hair dryer on steroids. It's great for lighter applications like window tinting, decals, body wraps, etc., and things like heat shrink tubing and PVC heating tubing for bending, but it doesn't remove paint as well as the $200-300 professional agents. I keep it for lighter work but need to find a better one for removing paint. Damn. It works great for what it is, but that's not what it's not.

First temp. The label is wrong. "+" must be higher than the temperature and "-" must be lower. But that's the opposite of what he shows. Second, at low speed and in low temperature settings.
