I really liked this product at first. I grate a lot of cheese and chocolate for cooking and baking and it makes it a lot easier to grate a lot of cheese in a short amount of time. However, it broke within a few weeks of purchase. I took very good care of it and all my stuff was plastic, too cheaply made/assembled. I will buy another rotary cheese grater, this time only made of metal.

Tired of grating cheese by hand with a plastic square grater?! This grater is the answer to your prayers! Significantly reduces gridding time - which is great. Two issues: (1) When washed in the dishwasher, water seeps into the clear plastic assembly (but doesn't affect use of the grater) and (2) the suction cup base could be better. We've only had it a few weeks, but it's great for our weekly Tuesday tacos :) Highly recommend!

I LOVE this product except it's an Achilles heel. The plastic piece that attaches the handle to the base breaks during normal use. This part must be metal or very thick plastic with a very thick coating. Wings" to push the handle torque into the spiralizer. But it doesn't. The plastic is flimsy and breaks. Compared to a grater that you place on a plate and move food (cheese, potatoes, etc.) up and down, this grater is much easier to use! The suction works at first but shuts off after a minute or so and you can easily reset it in the middle of a grind if this happens, but it can still be used even if it loses suction. So I bought this product as I was starting to grind my own cheese to speed up the process. The lightness of this item and the quality of the blades are great. However, it has some disadvantages. Hand washing is the easiest way to clean it as I put it in the rinse water in different directions and it still retains standing water when the wash is finished.
